Planning

My mood board consists of three different teenage issues that a lot of people are suffering from in this eral. These are contempry issues as it is very likely that at least 50% of teenagers suffer from at least one of these issues.

As part of my planning I conducted a pitch in front of my class with my partner Shannon. The pitch involved: about our film, an over view of our issue: teenage pregnancy, possible locations, possible titles, the narrative structure included and the planning (our storyboard).

It was really useful to gain feedback from the rest of the class because they are our target audience for our film as they are all teenagers which is what we want. Most of our class know people with these problems therefore we found that it touched many of them, but also the feedback helped us know where we need to improve (e.g. adding in a faster heartbeat when Shannon starts getting beat up).
We gained feedback on our possible titles and the general view was 'Behind closed doors' was the best title for the film, as people believed this is what our film best relates to; Therefore on all our scenes we included at least a door (toilet door at school, toilet door at home and bedroom door).

Possible Music: To get all this music i will have to ask the permission of the artist or their mangement or produced the song: Here are a few ideas we thought of which could fit our video really well;

This is really good for our video as the girls feel unloved and they have noone to turn to.

This song is very good, as it fits perfectly with the girls body issues, insecurities.

Where is the love by the black eyed peas is a good song as it explains all that is wrong with the world.

I have to email Lil Wayne production mangement of the song 'how to love', this is so i can use this song in our video. I feel this song is very important to our video as it describes exactly how the girls are feeling; it is also a very up to date modern song which our audience who is the a young teenage audience will know and listen to.

By researching the opening two minutes of Twenty Four Seven I can use the research to decide on which titles to put at the start of my film. I can see where and when the titles come up in the opening two minutes and from the research I have found:
- The Director is shown last
- The film began with the logo of the production company
- The films production companies are mentioned on a black screen at the beginning of the titles
This research will help me when planning as I know what to put into it. As my opening to my two minutes of my film is very different to this in terms of the titles but watching and evaluating this helped me a lot.

Character Profiles
PRINCIPLE CHARACTERS

Vicky - One of the films main three characters. Vicky is a typical working class school girl and is shown in the opening of 'Behind closed doors' showing the audience her issue of bulimia. She is innocent passive person, this shown as she runs out the school apologising for being late and makes up an excuse to hide the fact she has been making herself sick. Vicky shows the audience she has insecurities with her body but also the fact how noone knows about shows it she isn't an attention seeking character.
Makyla - Another one of the main characters, Makyla appears through mise en scene as what she is wearing to school compared to the other school girls as a middle class female. She is shown at the beginning of 'Behind closed doors' to have an issue relating a pregnancy test showing the audience she is properly pregnant, She obviously is from a family with strict morals as she hides the fact she is pregnant for a while and does not tell anyone, Makyla wears a thick hoodie in the bathroom making the audience think, is she trying to hide the bump?
Shannon- The last of the main three characters, Shannon is a working class girl this is shown through where she lives with her boyfriend and how she dresses. Shannon looks like a normal teenage girl but always covers up arms and legs for school which we later find out is because her boyfriend beats her up. Shannon lives with her boyfriend at such a young age which shows he is possessive as he always wants to know where and what she is doing, this could also tell audiences her parents left her.
MINOR CHARACTERS
Chaise - Shannon's boyfriend who is shown to be controlling and forceful towards Shannon and beats her immediately makes audiences dislike him. He is shown to have a problem towards drinking and Shannon doesn't like it but if she mentions it he will physical abuse her.
