We choose film four to do our media distrubution as their target audience is teenagers and young adults, and most of their films such as 'Submarine' has teenage actors and about teenagers lives.
We choose the UK film concil due to the fact they provide finical backing for British film which are mostly independent which gets their money through national lottery funding.


Power director helped me edit my video exactly how i wanted, i found this software very reliable.

I used a tripod in most of my filming to make it look steady and professional.

I used a basic video camera to film, which picked up sound aswell, therefore when filming outside used a miscrophone so it didnt pick up the wind.

I have put all my work onto blogger, which has aloud me to lay it out neatly and helped me keep it organised. Having it like this helped me understand my planning and my calls sheet could be kept neatly.


I used a microphone when filming outside so the dialogue did not interfer with the wind etc.


These are feedback sheets on how we can improve our final product, and our target audiences response.


We interviewed a teenage male on his views and comment on our final product?


Our audience would generally be working class teenagers/ young adults due to the fact our film may relate to show issues at least someone in their lives are facing. As this is a social realist film we would of choose if professional unknown actors to make our film seem more realistic, allowing the audience to relate better to the characters making the film more successful.With our target audience we hope to make teenagers not feel so alone with their issues, therefore the exhibition would be advertisement to interest this age. The gender of our film is mainly advertised for females, but adding a male character will bring in males therefore to educate them on the issues girls face.

We interviewed a teenage girl on her view on our final product? (this was a really good opportunity for me as she fits our target audience well)




We attracted the audience by adding various different cliff hangers just in the opening two minutes, for example in the first scene why is the girl running out the school? why is she making herself sick, does she have any other issues going on at home or school?. In our second scene the female takes a pregnancy test but the audience do not see what it says whether she is pregnant or not? In the abusive relationship scene it shows another female getting beat up then drops to the floor the audience might be engaged to see whether she says in the relationship and who does she share this with. Why are the girls running out of school? The attracts our target audience as they themselves or they might know different people going through the same thing. Younger audiences tend to watch films with actors their own age so this fits perfectly. The title leads narrative enigma as it creates an own story on its own. We addressed our audience with no direct dioloage or voiceover to them, but dialogue between the characters.









I have learnt how to use different effects of the filming process, for example i used hand held footage for rocky effect of life, a pan when going along the dominstic abuse girls body. Steadicam was used for most of my opening two minutes so it filmed clear and looked professional not amature. I learnt through the process of filming to choose focal points so that the audience could know important shots that are important to the narrative in our film. The technologies of the process has taught me all the different angles i can use to film and the meaning between them,  like when i am being sick in the toilet it is filmed from a high angle so that it shows she feels like the whole world is looking down on her. The special effects used in footage to make it look professional i have learnt whilst on power editor, for example fade from one shot to another. Having edits such as a long take shows the audience that the shot is a long take therefore important, when in my footage fast pace edits to show the panic in their lives. The fact i now know how to use effective framing positions between the characters, location and the props shows how i have progressed as a editer. I used to know just how to shot-reverse shot but now i am adding it a lot of different camera angles and effect, my establishing shot shows i am at a school.
